  • Establish project plans in small/ medium/ large size projects for the execution of the work covering schedule, manpower and progress, in accordance with Contract requirements and clients standard planning methods.

  • Ensure that plans are updated on a regular basis based on input from the project organisation.

  • Monitor progress, schedule, manpower and cost against baseline plan and current plan. Prepare and maintain forecast schedule and initiate actions when this schedule deviates from Current plan.

  • Execute Baseline revisions.

  • Prepare or give input to overall revenue, cost plan and invoicing.

  • Review preparation of the Master Equipment List (project BOM), and as well as preparing and maintaining the sales order, if applicable.

  • Supervise preparation of detailed plans in projects.

  • Review and participate in preparation of Variation Order Requests, and implement approved Variation Orders with regards to schedule, manpower- and cost plans.

  • Prepare or provide input to internal and external project reports. 

  • Follow up sub-contractors planning and progress reporting.

  • Mentor/train less experienced project planners.

  • Liaison with Client project control personnel.

  • Take initiatives to development, implementation and maintenance of Planning department procedures. Contribute to standardizing and developing a corporate planning philosophy.Responsible for establishing the project execution schedules for system project tenders and studies, in close cooperation with the tender teams.

  • Coordinate planning input across all subject areas so that these are in accordance with the overall project execution schedule.

  • Review tender and contract documents and identify exceptions/ qualifications.

  • Responsible for preparation of tender documents related to planning and project execution.

  • Participate in and/or provide input to tender management meetings.

  • Respond to client clarifications during the post tender phase.

  • Participate in clarification meetings with client.

  • Prepare input to overall cost plan as required.

  • Evaluate supplier tender schedules




  • Bachelor or Master degree (or equivalent) in one or more of the following disciplines:

  • Engineering

  • Business Administration

  • Project Control


  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience as a project planner

  • referably experience from developing and maintaining offshore schedules.

  • Experience from establsihing several project plans. 

  • Responsible and capable to independently establish new project schedules of midium size projects as a minimum.

  • Responsible for internal and external status reporting.

  • Mentor for less experienced project planners.



  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential to effectively teach others.

  • Ability to lead functional team is important.

  • Ability to coach and mentor others is important.

  • Ability to transfer subject matter expertise. Strong ability to persuade is important.

  • Prepare and deliver somewhat complex proposals and report to any audience.

  • Ability to cooperate and communicate with external customers.

  • Understanding and communicating within diverse cultural environment.
